Semarang (6/5), Universal Health Coverage (UHC) is crucial in improving public health status in Indonesia. The UHC consists of several aspects such as guaranteed health financing, access to health services, and improving the quality of health services. Based on Law Number 40 of 2004 concerning the National Social Security System, the National Health Insurance (NHI) is needed as a guarantee for financing the health of the Indonesian communities.
In this case, harmonization of the roles and functions of NHI stakeholders is necessary in realizing UHC. Based on this background, the Health Policy and Administration of the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Diponegoro held a webinar with the theme “Harmonization of the Role and Function Relations of NHI Stakeholders in Realizing UHC” which was held on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 09.00-11.30 A.M via Zoom meeting and broadcast live via YouTube FKM UNDIP Official.
The event began with remarks by the Dean of Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Diponegoro, Dr. Budiyono, SKM, M.Kes and continued with material presentation by the speaker Dr. Diah Ayu Puspandari, Apt, MBA, M. Kes. In his presentation Dr. Diah said that as of March 2023, NHI participants in Indonesia were quite high, reaching 93.6%. However, only 81.2% are active NHI participants who can take advantage of NHI. It is important to do the mapping of inactive participants and participants who have not registered as NHI participants, especially since the trend of inactive NHI participants is increasing.
After the presentation, it was followed by a discussion session guided by the moderator, Putri Asmita Wigati, SKM, M.Kes, lecturer in Health Policy and Administration, Faculty of Public Health Universitas Diponegoro. This event was attended by 358 participants who came from Faculty of Public Health UNDIP’s students and various institutions outside UNDIP. The webinar event was closed by submitting the certificates to the speaker and moderators who were guided by the host Annida Nur Adilah.
